Hi, in case you weren't sure, it's not Fall here in Florida. It's still basically what any sane person would consider to be Summer in other parts of the world. While you're out there with your cute family pumpkin patch photo in your buffalo plaid, OTK boots and beanies, we're out here picking pumpkins in tanks, jorts, and flips pretending our sweat is glitter and that we have honest to god seasons. (We all know in Florida there are only two seasons. One is, "Hi, Welcome to Hell, You're One Step Closer to Meeting Beelzebub" and the other is, "Hi, Welcome to Winter in Hell. It's Still Hot because it's Run by Lucifer. Deal. With. It.)

I Just Want to Fit In
Cue September. IG fills its feed with sweaters, boots, coffee, and pumpkins and we're left sitting here wondering how quickly we would die if we did all of it. Well, for the sake of Instagram there are many a babe in Florida that can give you various time estimates on how close they came to dying for a good picture.
Am I being dramatic? Sure. We all know I'm far to BIG of a diva to let it get that serious but if you didn't think I had a swampy chest (and my boobs aren't even considered real boobs...they are child's play TBH) and clearly frizzy hair. YOU WRONG. DEAD WRONG.
FOMO Set In
I tried to fight it for a hot minute BUT then FOMO set in. I wanted to look cool in a moto jacket and OTK boots even though it's not a smart life choice, BUT I AM DOING IT, DAMMIT. I had also just scored a REALLY Amazing pair of Christian Siriano for Payless OTK boots in a BIG GIRL size and wanted to wear them. I felt like all the signs were pointing to a sweat filled photo sesh.

Cue RTR
Of course, I felt like it was a sign from the clothing rental gods when this brand new VEDA jacket appeared on my Unlimited rotation. It was meant to be. I was going to join the BASIC fall rotation and do the damn thing. I selected it for my next shipment and signed my name on the dotted, sweaty line. Fall is in session.

Now that I had this jacket, these boots, and the amazing steal of a Target bag you'll see below I hit up my favorite photographer, Kelly Martucci and planned a fun photo sesh. All The Details
I knew the heat would be real that day so I tried to keep it low key and not go too over the top with the rest of the outfit. As in, the one day it cools down this fall I could actually wear this outfit together and no one would give me the side eye. I'll link all the items below, but I'll give you a little rundown of why I love some of these pieces so much. Outside of the bag, boots, and jacket the rest of the items are things I've owned for a hot minute now and truly LOVE. In fact, as I type this I am wearing my Good American jeans. ;-)
Best Tees
J. Crew will never steer you wrong. They may be pricey but they last forever. I promise you I am still wearing some tees from them that I purchased in 2009 when I lived in California. I CANNOT make that story up.
Big Girls Need Love Too
I'm talking about tall ladies with bigger thighs, hips, and feet. (Like me.)
For pants, GET YOUR ASS in some Good American denim. They will change your life. You can purchase them online from Nordstrom or direct from Good American. There are a few lucky Nordstrom stores that actually carry them in the brick and mortar location, but unfortunately Jax is not one of them. Good American runs TTS, have amazing size options, have just the right amount of stretch, hold your butt high and tight, and fit like a glove. Shout Out to Target - They 'da real MVP. I scored the bag I am carrying for practically FREE. Even the sales associate assisting me when I was checking out couldn't believe it.
